A clear result for every check
Manual checks distinguish an available update from a successful check confirming the current version. A failed check is reported separately.
From download to your first capture

Download the Windows EXE
Click Download for Windows to save CaptureXPro-Setup-v3.6.8.exe. The file usually appears in your Downloads folder; you can also find it in your browser’s downloads list.

Run the installer
Open the downloaded CaptureXPro-Setup-v3.6.8.exe file. This is the full installer for Windows 10/11 (64-bit); no separate OCR or recording download is needed.

Complete setup and open the app
Follow the setup wizard, then launch CaptureX Pro from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. Keep the installed application files together.

Choose Start Trial
In the license window, select Start Trial to begin your 90 days. Then choose New Capture for your first screenshot. Already using the trial? Update to this version to use the balance of 90 days from your original start date.

Keep using it with a license
When ready, open Help > License, copy your Hardware ID, choose a paid plan, and use that ID when purchasing. Enter the license key in the app to activate it. Compare plans and subscribe.
Version 3.6.8 — Clearer update-check results
A failed manual update check no longer tells you that the app is current. See whether a newer version is available, your version is current, or the check could not finish, with an option to open the official download page.
Useful failure details
Timeouts, connection failures, and invalid server responses show localized guidance instead of a misleading “latest version” message. Internet access is still required.
An official download option
If a manual check fails, you can open the official download page and install the current full package. Opening the page does not install an update automatically.
Use Help > Check for Updates to check manually. If the check fails, retry when the connection is available or use the official download page.

Work across two or more displays
Choose a display or All displays in Screen Recorder. Region recording follows the selection frame. All displays keeps the Windows desktop arrangement, including gaps, and requires more processing power at high resolutions.
Connect and arrange displays before recording. If an involved display disconnects or its layout changes, recording pauses or refuses to resume while retaining existing segments. Restore the original layout to resume, or stop and save. Whiteboard recording uses the display containing the board.
